Accreditation
Mesa State College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and a member of the North Central Association.
Accreditation by this agency places credits earned at Mesa State College on a par with those earned at other similarly accredited institutions throughout the United States.

National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education Mesa State is also approved by the Colorado Department of Higher Education and the Colorado Department of Education to prepare teachers.
The College is designated as Baccalaureate-Arts and Sciences as part of the Carnegie classification of higher education institutions.
