We are thrilled that you are planning to attend Mesa State College. Your next step is to attend a Student Orientation program. As you begin your transition to MSC, we will be here to ease the way for your every step. Please review the following pages carefully and your pathway to MSC will be laid out for you as you take the next steps toward a great education.
All new incoming, in-state, freshmen students are required to attend a Student Orientation.
As an out-of-state Freshmen, we strongly encourage you to attend one of the many Orientation programs we have planned.
As a Transfer Student, we encourage you to attend one of the many Orientation programs we have planned. However, since your needs are generally different than those of a first-time student, you are not required to attend an Orientation program. If you choose not to attend an Orientation program, please contact the Mesa State Center for Transfer Services at 970.248.1232 for assistance.
Why? On average, students who attend a Student Orientation program earn higher GPA's, have higher retention rates, and graduate sooner than those who do not attend an Orientation. This is because students that attend an Orientation know where to turn for help whenever the need arises. Our programs are designed to get you the most out of your time at Mesa State College. During your Orientation, you will have the opportunity to:Transfer students who register for a program at least three weeks in advance will have their transfer credit evaluation completed by the date of their program.
