Lady in ClassroomAthletics play a key role in the growth of our students and are an integral part of the college experience. Mesa State has a strong winning tradition as a member of the NCAA Division II and Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. The Mavericks have over 68 conference and regional titles. Currently Mesa State competes in 19 inter-collegiate varsity sports and offers over 350 student-athletes the opportunity to earn a degree while competing at a top Division II institution.

MSC boasts some of the finest facilities in the conference in its recently renovated athletic offices, field house, practice fields and brand new El Pomar Natatorium.

In addition, five emerging sports allow athletes to compete collegiately in skiing, lacrosse, rodeo, cycling, and ice hockey.

Student athletes at Mesa State live up to both titles to the fullest extent with victories on and off the court, field, diamond, mat, green, track or pool.
