Best of the West Music Festival

Select Band

Best of the West Music Festival began as a one-day event in 2000 when 40 high school seniors joined the Mesa State College Wind Symphony for a spectacular concert. Since that time, thanks to the generous support of Stephen Boelter and Karen Combs, the event has developed into a two-day affair culminating in an exciting performance with a world premiere and featuring two bands consisting of over 140 talented high school musicians.

"Music Department Loses a Friend"

There are many generous and philanthropic people who live in Grand Junction. Many of them are widely known, and many are not. Stephen Boelter is one of those individuals who touched lives in unseen ways.
