We encourage all prospective online students to assess their personal characteristics, and readiness to complete an online course, before they enroll. Take a few minutes to review the Characteristics of a Successful Online Student, then take the Student Readiness Quiz. Don't worry, we are not grading these items..they exist to help you explore if online learning will suit you.
At Mesa State College, we require all students enrolling in their first Mesa State Online course to complete our Online Student Orientation. This tutorial provides you a first-hand experience with our learning management system, WebCT, before your class begins. You will have access to this Orientation after you register for your first Mesa State Online course.
In keeping with our commitment to providing the highest quality educational experience, Mesa State College online courses are delivered through the premier course delivery platform, WebCT.
Technical Requirements
To have the best learning experience possible in your online course, please be sure you have access to the recommended technology. Mesa State College prefers online students to use the following technology minimums: DSL/Cable modem and high-speed Internet connection, Microsoft Windows XP or later, Microsoft Office 2003 or later, and Java Runtime Environment 6.0.
