Social & Behavioral Sciences Department

The Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences offers the Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice, Political Science, Sociology where you can also choose a concentration in Human Services or Anthropology, Psychology, Counseling Psychology and History.   We also offer a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Public Administration/Public Safety.   These options form the core of Mesa State College's liberal arts educational programs.

The Department places great importance on student learning.   Its faculty members come from some of the best universities in the country.   Dedicated to teaching, faculty in the Department engage students in a variety of research projects seldom available to undergraduate students.

Each discipline offers internships, practicums and a variety of other opportunities for students to participate in experiential learning.   As a result, our students are well positioned for pursuing further studies in graduate school or for employment in their field of study.
